Mommy was on leave that day. Because she had to work on Sunday, they gave her an extra day off. We had lunch with Kor at Lor 7. And we dropped her off at Dhoby Ghaut as she needed to go to the bank. And both of us went to Sim Lim to fix my computer.
Well, fixing my computer also means that I'm not getting a notebook =(
I've always wanted to have one. But I'm contemplating because I'll face it most of my waking hours. I wasn't sure if I want to stare at that tiny screen. Well, of cause I can get one with a huge screen, but I didn't want to lug it out if I have to. You get my drift.
Anyway, I've even decided which to get if I'm getting one. Of cause a Vaio in hot pink!!

Mommy's not very happy about spending so much. Kor says I'm home 90% of the time anyway (he didn't realize that I'm only home cause my computer's home!). And so, to please the crowd... I dragged myself to Sim Lim with Kor, with my huge ass CPU in hand, sulking like a spoiled brat.
Got it upgraded as well. Changed the motherboard, which has a graphics card on board. And put in a 1tb hard disk. And a Ram. Kor bought a 640gb external hard disk. All for $445.
I don't know why Kor bought me another hard disk. Now, I have four hard disk. And two of them is empty!!
As soon as it's alive again, I totally forgot about my unhappiness of not getting a notebook. I'm so easy to please.
We went to pick Mommy up. And then went home. Kor went for his RT. While I try with all my might to set up the computer. And because I've done it on my own so many times before, I've more or less picked up the skill.I'm a IT student after all. We didn't learn that in school, well at least not when I was still in school!!!
Kor gave me instructions earlier on, and thankfully, I remembered most of it. I installed Windows 7, and then installed the driver for the new motherboard. And voila... it's done!
Now, I have a "brand new" computer. I have to wait for the next "window" when my computer breaks down again to try my luck at getting a notebook. Till then.
